‘Different Story’ -Download

Here we have the first new Blacktop Deluxe song since May 2016, recorded as usual at Cube Studios in Silverwell, Truro, Cornwall UK and engineered by Gareth Young.

This is also the first venture for the newly reformed Blacktop Deluxe in its original ‘Power Trio’ format of  – Keith Howe (Guitar and Vocals), Alan Ibbotson (Drums and Vocals) & Matt Roberts (Bass and Vocal)although for the recording the Bass lines were played by Gareth Young.

Its available as the first part of a ‘double A side’  single with the second part ‘Boneyard Blues’ due for release  on Friday August 26th.

Different Story

So this song sees the Top’s rockin’ out to a song that’s looking back over a bitter sweet relationship with positive vibes for the future and an upbeat end result.

It’s strong message, is to always look for the positives even when facing negative times (like lseeking the light when all around you can seem dark) quite poignant in these times eh ?

With it’s driving Bass lines, just listen out for those awesome signature drums of Alan (did someone say Mick Fleetwood and Tusk ?) plus of course, that cowbell was always gonna’ make an appearance.
