Power Trio – Post Parklive and onto The Wharf

Despite the overcast weather yesterday, a great number of friends, fans and new converts, turned out for Source FM’s ‘ParkLive’ Festival to witness a blistering set from The Blacktop’s as they took to the main stage at midday.

 

The Guys powered their way through a 40 minute set of Blacktop originals for what is only their second live performance after all three original members reformed the band, earlier this year.

 

Crowd reaction was wonderful with many CD’s sold to new Fans who couldn’t believe they hadn’t seen The Tops play before (actually it’s quite a rare event for the Guys to play locally) !

 

Additionally, the hosts ‘Source FM Radio Station‘ asked The Blacktops to take part in a ‘live’ radio interview, to be interspersed with Tracks from the Band’s last released Album ‘Presence & Gain‘.

This looks scheduled for Thursday August 24th but full details will be confirmed shortly.

So, after converting many new BlackTopper’s at yesterdays Festival, it’s onto the next scheduled gig at the wonderful Wharf, in Tavistock, Devon where the Band have many fond memories of previous performances over the years. .

The Gig on Friday October 13th will be the first time the guys have returned to the Wharf for some time, so they are very much looking forward to seeing many of their old friends.

This promises to be an evening not to be missed.
